3. Eis que os ímpios retesam o seu arco, ajustam a sua flecha sobre a corda, para dispararem às ocultas contra os que são de coração recto. (2)

3. The wicked is proud of his inmost desires, by his blasphemies the grasping spurns Yahweh,

4. Quando se desmoronam os fundamentos, que pode fazer o justo? (3)

4. the wicked in his arrogance does not look very far; 'There is no God,' is his only thought.

5. O Senhor habita no seu santo templo, o trono do Senhor está no céu. Os seus olhos observam, as suas pálpebras examinam os filhos dos homens. (4)
