1. O Senhor reina: regozije-se a terra, alegrem-se as numerosas ilhas. (ver nota)
1. Sing a new song to Yahweh! Sing to Yahweh, all the earth!
2. Nuvens e escuridão estão ao redor dele, a justiça e o direito são a base do seu trono. (ver nota)
2. Sing to Yahweh, bless his name! Proclaim his salvation day after day,
3. O fogo avança diante dele, e abrasa ao redor os seus inimigos.
3. declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!
4. Os seus relâmpagos iluminam o mundo; a terra vê e treme.
4. Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.
5. Os montes fundem-se como cera diante do Senhor, diante do dominador de toda terra,
5. All the gods of the nations are idols! It was Yahweh who made the heavens;
6. Os céus proclamam a sua justiça, e todos os povos vêem a sua glória.
6. in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary power and beauty.
7. Confundidos sejam todos os que adoram está tuas, e os que se gloriam nos ídolos; perante ele se prostram todos os deuses.
7. Give to Yahweh, families of nations, give to Yahweh glory and power,
8. Sião ouve e alegra-se, e as cidades de Judá regozijam-se, por causa dos teus juízos, Senhor.
8. give to Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts,
9. Com efeito, Senhor, és excelso sobre toda a terra, sumamente elevado acima de todos os deuses.
9. adore Yahweh in the splendour of his holiness. Tremble before him, all the earth.
10. O Senhor ama os que odeiam o mal, guarda as almas dos seus santos, livra-os da mão dos ímpios.
10. Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king.' The world is set firm, it cannot be moved. He will judge the nations with justice.
11. Nasce a luz para os justos, e a alegria para os rectos de coração.
11. Let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Let the sea thunder, and all it holds!
12. Alegrai-vos, justos, no Senhor, e celebrai o seu santo nome.
12. Let the countryside exult, and all that is in it, and all the trees of the forest cry out for joy,
13.
13. at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming, coming to judge the earth; he will judge the world with saving justice, and the nations with constancy.
