1. Bem-aventurados aqueles, cujo caminho é imaculado, que andam na lei do Senhor, (ver nota)

2. Bem-aventurados os que guardam as suas prescrições, e de todo o coração o buscam,

3. que não praticam a iniquidade mas andam nos seus caminhos.

4. Tu promulgaste os teus preceitos, para que sejam guardados à risca.

5. Oxalá que os meus caminhos sejam firmes para guardar os teus estatutos!

6. Então não serei confundido, quando eu atender a todos os teus mandamentos.

16. Hei-de deliciar-me com os teus estatutos; não me esquecerei das tuas palavras.

17. Beneficia o teu servo, para que eu viva e guarde as tuas palavras.

18. Abre os meus olhos, para que considere as maravilhas da tua lei.

19. Eu sou peregrino na terra; não escondas de mim os mandamentos.

20. Desfalece a minha alma, desejando sempre os teus decretos.

21. Ameaçaste os soberbos; malditos os que se afastam dos teus mandamentos.

22. Livra-me do opróbrio e do desprezo, porque observo as tuas prescrições.

23. Mesmo que os príncipes se sentem e falem contra mim, o teu servo todavia medita nas tuas determinações.

23. This is Yahweh's doing, and we marvel at it.

24. Pois as tuas prescrições são as minhas delícias, e os teus estatutos os meus conselheiros.

24. This is the day which Yahweh has made, a day for us to rejoice and be glad.

25. A minha alma está prostrada sobre o pó: dá-me a vida, segundo a tua palavra.

26. Eu te expuz os meus caminhos, e tu me atendeste: ensina-me os teus estatutos.

27. Instrui-me no caminho dos teus preceitos, e meditarei nas tuas maravilhas.
