Salmos, 94

1. ¡Dios vengador, Señor, Dios vengador, manifiéstate!

1. O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

2. Imponte tú, que juzgas a la tierra, dales su merecido a los soberbios.

2. Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3. ¿Hasta cuándo, Señor, esos malvados, hasta cuándo los malvados triunfarán?

3. LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4. Hablan mal, dicen insolencias, se jactan todos esos malhechores.

4. [How long] shall they utter [and] speak hard things? [and] all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

5. Señor, aplastan a tu pueblo, oprimen a tu familia.

5. They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

6. Asesinan a la viuda y al forastero, masacran a los huérfanos,

6. They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

7. y dicen: "El Señor no ve nada, el Dios de Jacob no se enterará".

7. Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard [it].

8. ¡Cuidado, más estúpidos que cualquiera! ¡Tontos, ¿cuándo van a comprender?

8. Understand, ye brutish among the people: and [ye] fools, when will ye be wise?

9. Así que quien hace la oreja, no oirá y quien ha formado el ojo, no verá?

9. He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10. ¿No castigará el que reprende a las naciones, y que enseña a los hombres el saber?

10. He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, [shall not he know]?

11. El Señor conoce los planes de los hombres y sabe que sólo viento son.

11. The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they [are] vanity.

12. ¡Feliz el hombre que corriges, Señor, y al que tú enseñas tu Ley!

12. Blessed [is] the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

13. Le das calma en los días de desgracia, mientras cavan la tumba del malvado.

13. That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14. Pues el Señor no rechaza a su pueblo, ni abandona a los suyos.

14. For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15. Retornará el poder al que es Justo y con él, a los de recto corazón.

15. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16. ¿Quién por mí se alzará contra los malos, quién por mí enfrentará a los malhechores?

16. Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? [or] who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17. Si el Señor no me hubiera socorrido, por poco no habría acabado entre los muertos.

17. Unless the LORD [had been] my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18. Apenas dije: "¡Vacilan mis pies!" tu bondad, Señor, me reafirmó.

18. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

19. Cuando las preocupaciones me asediaban, tus consuelos me alegraban el alma.

19. In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20. ¿Tendrás por aliado a un poder inicuo, autor de leyes opresivas?

20. Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21. Conspiran contra la vida del justo y condenan la sangre inocente.

21. They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22. Pero el Señor es para mí una ciudadela, mi Dios es la roca donde me refugio.

22. But the LORD is my defence; and my God [is] the rock of my refuge.

23. Hará que sobre ellos recaiga su maldad y los aniquilará su propia malicia: el Señor, nuestro Dios, los aniquilará.

23. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; [yea], the LORD our God shall cut them off.
