Salmos, 97

1. ¡El Señor reina, alégrese la tierra, regocíjense las islas numerosas!

1. The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad [thereof].

2. Lo rodea una nube tenebrosa, justicia y derecho son la base de su trono.

2. Clouds and darkness [are] round about him: righteousness and judgment [are] the habitation of his throne.

3. Va avanzando un fuego delante de él, que alrededor devora a sus contrarios.

3. A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.

4. Sus relámpagos iluminan el mundo, la tierra lo contempla y se estremece.

4. His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

5. Los montes se derriten como cera ante el que es Amo de toda la tierra;

5. The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

6. los cielos proclaman su justicia y todos los pueblos ven su gloria.

6. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

7. Se avergüenzan los que adoran ídolos, los que se jactan de cosas estúpidas. ¡Todos los dioses se postran ante él!

7. Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all [ye] gods.

8. Sión lo ha oído y se regocija, se festejan los pueblos de Judá a la espera, Señor, de tus sentencias.

8. Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.

9. Porque tú eres Señor Altísimo en toda la tierra, que destaca muy por encima de los dioses.

9. For thou, LORD, [art] high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

10. Amados del Señor, odien el mal, pues él cuida las almas de sus fieles y los libra de manos de malvados.

10. Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

11. La luz ya asoma para el justo y la alegría, para los de recto corazón.

11. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

12. Alégrense, justos en el Señor, y den gracias a su santo nombre.

12. Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
