Salmos, 28

1. A ti te llamo, Señor, Roca mía, no te hagas el sordo; no sea que, si guardas silencio, me ocurra como a los que bajan a la tumba.

1. <[A Psalm] of David.> Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, [if] thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

2. Escucha la voz de mi plegaria cuando a ti grito y elevo mis manos hacia tu Templo santo.

2. Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

3. Junto con los malvados no me arrastres ni con los que cometen iniquidad, que hablan de paz a sus hermanos, pero llevan dentro la maldad.

3. Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief [is] in their hearts.

4. Págales tú de acuerdo a sus obras y según la malicia de sus crímenes, dáles lo mismo que han hecho sus manos, págales como se lo merecen.

4. Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

5. Ya que no miran las obras del Señor ni entienden lo que hacen sus manos, él los destruirá y no los rehará.

5. Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

6. Bendito sea el Señor, que ha escuchado la voz de mi oración.

6. Blessed [be] the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

7. El Señor es mi fuerza y mi escudo, mi corazón confiaba en él, y me socorrió, por eso mi corazón se alegra y le canto agradecido.

7. The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

8. El Señor es la fuerza de su pueblo, un refugio seguro para su ungido.

8. The LORD [is] their strength, and he [is] the saving strength of his anointed.

9. ¡Salva a tu pueblo y bendice a los tuyos, pastoréalos y llévalos por siempre!

9. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

El Salmo 28 es una oración que llora por la protección divina ante los enemigos y pide la justicia de Dios. El salmista expresa su confianza en Dios y su rechazo a quienes practican el mal. A continuación hay cinco versos relacionados con los temas del Salmo 28:
