Salmos, 11

1. En el Señor he puesto mi refugio; ¿cómo dicen a mi alma: "Huye, cual un pájaro, hacia el monte,

1. <To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David.> In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain?

2. porque los impíos tensan su arco, y ajustan sus flechas a la cuerda para herir en la sombra a los de recto corazón.

2. For, lo, the wicked bend [their] bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

3. Si han cedido los cimientos, ¿qué puede hacer el justo?"

3. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4. El Señor está en su templo santo, el Señor tiene su trono en el cielo. Sus ojos están observando y fija su mirada en los hijos de Adán.

4. The LORD [is] in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne [is] in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5. El Señor explora al justo y al impío, y su alma odia a quien ama la violencia.

5. The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6. Hará llover sobre los malvados carbones encendidos y azufre y un viento abrasador les tocará en suerte.

6. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: [this shall be] the portion of their cup.

7. Porque el Señor es justo y ama la justicia, los que son rectos contemplarán su rostro.

7. For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
