Salmos, 107

1. ¡Den gracias al Señor porque él es bueno, porque es eterna su misericordia!

1. O give thanks unto the LORD, for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.

2. Que lo digan los que el Señor rescató, que rescató de manos del adversario,

2. Let the redeemed of the LORD say [so], whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

3. que reunió de todos los países del oriente y poniente, del norte y del sur.

3. And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

4. Erraban por el desierto, por la estepa, sin hallar el camino de una ciudad poblada.

4. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

5. Tenían hambre, pero más tenían sed, su alma en ellos ya desfallecía.

5. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

6. Pero al Señor clamaron en su angustia y él los libró de su aflicción,

6. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, [and] he delivered them out of their distresses.

7. los encaminó por una ruta recta para que llegaran a una ciudad poblada.

7. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

8. Den gracias al Señor por su bondad, sus maravillas con los hijos de los hombres.

8. Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!

9. Dio de beber a la garganta seca y los hambrientos los colmó de bienes.

9. For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

10. Habitaban en la sombra y en tinieblas, atenazados por la miseria y los hierros,

10. Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, [being] bound in affliction and iron;

11. por no haber escuchado las palabras de Dios y despreciado los consejos del Altísimo.

11. Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

12. En la pena El sumió su corazón, sucumbían y nadie los socorría.

12. Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and [there was] none to help.

13. En su angustia clamaron al Señor: y él los liberó de su aflicción,

13. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, [and] he saved them out of their distresses.

14. los sacó de la sombra, de las tinieblas y rompió sus cadenas.

14. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

15. ¡Den gracias al Señor por su bondad, sus maravillas con los hijos de los hombres!

15. Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!

16. Pues él rompió las puertas de bronce y destrozó los cerrojos de fierro.

16. For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

17. Vueltos locos en su mal camino, y desdichados a causa de sus faltas,

17. Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

18. sentían asco de cualquier alimento y estaban a las puertas de la muerte.

18. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

19. Pero en su angustia clamaron al Señor y él los liberó de su aflicción.

19. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, [and] he saveth them out of their distresses.

20. Les envió a su palabra, los sanó y salvó sus vidas de la tumba.

20. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered [them] from their destructions.

21. ¡Den gracias al Señor por su bondad, sus maravillas con los hijos de los hombres!

21. Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!

22. Ofrezcan sacrificios de acción de gracias, cuenten sus obras con cánticos de júbilo.

22. And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

23. Los que bajan al mar en sus navíos y negocian entre las grandes aguas,

23. They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;

24. estos han visto las obras del Señor, sus maravillas en las profundidades.

24. These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

25. A su orden surgió un viento huracanado, que levantaba las olas;

25. For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.

26. subían a los cielos, bajaban a los abismos, su alma se consumía en el mareo;

26. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.

27. por el vértigo, titubeaban como un ebrio, toda su pericia había sido tragada.

27. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.

28. Pero al Señor clamaron en su angustia y él los hizo salir de su aflicción.

28. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.

29. Hizo que amainara la tormenta y las olas del mar enmudecieron.

29. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

30. Se alegraron al ver calmado todo, y los llevó al puerto deseado.

30. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

31. ¡Den gracias al Señor por su bondad, sus maravillas con los hijos de los hombres!

31. Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!

32. Que lo exalten en la asamblea del pueblo y lo alaben en el consejo de ancianos.

32. Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

33. El convierte los ríos en desierto y en tierra seca las vertientes de agua;

33. He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;

34. la tierra fértil se cubre de sal debido a la maldad de sus habitantes.

34. A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

35. Pero cambia el desierto en napa de agua y la tierra árida en fuente de agua;

35. He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.

36. allí hace que habiten los hambrientos y funden una ciudad habitable.

36. And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;

37. Siembran sus campos y plantan viñedos, recolectan sus frutos.

37. And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

38. Los bendice, se multiplican mucho, y su ganado no se les reduce.

38. He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

39. Luego disminuyeron y se vieron abatidos bajo el peso de males y desgracias,

39. Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.

40. pero él, que derrama el desprecio sobre los grandes y los hace errar en un desierto sin caminos,

40. He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, [where there is] no way.

41. levanta al pobre de su miseria y multiplica las familias como el rebaño.

41. Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like a flock.

42. Los hombres rectos véanlo y alégrense, pero todo lo que es vil cierre la boca.

42. The righteous shall see [it], and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

43. ¡El que sea sabio, que medite estas cosas y reconozca las bondades del Señor!

43. Whoso [is] wise, and will observe these [things], even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
