Salmos, 149

1. ¡Aleluya! Canten al Señor un canto nuevo: su alabanza en la asamblea de los santos.

1. Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, [and] his praise in the congregation of saints.

2. Alégrese Israel de quien lo hizo, festejen a su rey, hijos de Sión.

2. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

3. Su nombre alaben en medio de danzas, el arpa y el tambor toquen para él.

3. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

4. Pues el Señor se siente bien con su pueblo, con su salvación reviste a los humildes.

4. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

5. De júbilo triunfante rebosan sus fieles, de sus esteras gritan de alegría;

5. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

6. en su garganta están los elogios de Dios y en su mano, la espada de dos filos,

6. [Let] the high [praises] of God [be] in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

7. para ejercer venganza entre los pueblos y dar a las naciones el castigo,

7. To execute vengeance upon the heathen, [and] punishments upon the people;

8. para atar con cadenas a sus reyes y con grillos de hierro a sus notables,

8. To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9. para aplicarles la sentencia escrita: eso es un honor para todos los suyos.

9. To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
