Salmos, 62

1. En Dios sólo descansa el alma mía, de él espero mi salvación.

1. <To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David.> Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him [cometh] my salvation.

2. Sólo él es mi roca y mi salvador, si es mi fortaleza, no he de vacilar.

2. He only [is] my rock and my salvation; [he is] my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

3. ¿Hasta cuándo se lanzan todos contra uno, para juntos demolerlo como se echa abajo un muro, como se derriba una cerca?

3. How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall [shall ye be, and as] a tottering fence.

4. Todos sus proyectos son sólo engaños, su placer es mentir; con lo falso en la boca ellos bendicen, y en su interior maldicen.

4. They only consult to cast [him] down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

5. Sólo en Dios tendrás tu descanso, alma mía, pues de él me viene mi esperanza.

5. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from him.

6. Sólo él es mi roca y mi salvador, si es mi fortaleza, no he de vacilar.

6. He only [is] my rock and my salvation: [he is] my defence; I shall not be moved.

7. En Dios están mi salvación y mi gloria, él es mi roca y mi fuerza, en él me abrigo.

7. In God [is] my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, [and] my refuge, [is] in God.

8. Pueblo mío, confíen siempre en él, abran su corazón delante de él, Dios es nuestro refugio.

8. Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

9. El vulgo no es más que una pelusa, y de los de arriba no se puede fiar. Si en la balanza se pusieran todos, ni un soplo pesarían

9. Surely men of low degree [are] vanity, [and] men of high degree [are] a lie: to be laid in the balance, they [are] altogether [lighter] than vanity.

10. No vayan a contar con la violencia ni se hagan ilusiones con la rapiña; el corazón no apeguen a las riquezas cuando se acrecientan.

10. Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart [upon them].

11. Una vez Dios habló, dos cosas yo entendí: Que de Dios es la fuerza, y tuya es, oh Señor, también la gracia. Que eres tú quien retribuye a cada cual según sus obras.

11. God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power [belongeth] unto God.

12.

12. Also unto thee, O Lord, [belongeth] mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
