4. Ó tu, que no teu furor te despedaças, porventura, por causa de ti, será despovoada a terra, e serão transferidos os rochedos do seu lugar?

4. Tear yourself to pieces if you will, but the world, for all your rage, will not turn to desert, the rocks will not shift from their places.

5. Sim, é certo que a luz (ou prosperidade) do ímpio se apagará, e que não resplandecerá a chama do seu fogo.

5. The light of the wicked must certainly be put out, the lamp that gives him light cease to shine.

6. A luz se obscurecerá na sua casa, e a lâmpada (ou glória), que está sobre ele, se apagará.

6. In his tent the light is dimmed, the lamp that shone on him is snuffed.

7. Os seus passos firmes serão cortados, e o seu próprio conselho o precipitará.

7. His vigorous stride loses its power, his own designs falter.

8. Prendem-se os seus pés na rede, anda entre as suas malhas.

8. For into the net his own feet carry him, he walks into the snares.

9. A spring grips him by the heel, a trap snaps shut, and he is caught.

11. De todas as partes o amedrontarão temores, e lhe enredarão os pés.

11. Terrors threaten him from all sides following him step by step.

12. A pele do seu corpo será devorada; o primogênito da morte devorará os seus membros.

12. Hunger becomes his companion, by his side Disaster stands.

13. Será arrancado da sua tenda onde se julgava seguro, e a morte, como um rei, o calcará.

13. Disease devours his skin, Death's First-Born gnaws his limbs.

14. Outros - não mais ele - habitarão na sua casa, e sobre a sua lenda se espalhará enxofre.

14. He will be torn from the shelter of his tent, and you will drag him to the King of Terrors.

15. Por baixo as suas raízes secarão, e por cima serão cortados os seus ramos.

15. You can live in the tent, since it is no longer his, and brimstone will be scattered on his sheepfold.

16. Á sua memória perecerá da terra, e não será celebrado o seu nome na região.

16. Below, his roots dry out and his branches are blasted above.

17. Será arrojado da luz para as trevas, será desterrado do mundo.

17. His memory fades from the land, his name is forgotten in the countryside.

18. Não terá nem descendência nem família no seu povo, nem relíquia alguma no seu pais.

19. Os últimos pasmarão do seu dia (de ruína), e os primeiros serão invadidos pelo horror.

20. Tais serão as moradas do ímpio, tal é o lugar daquele que não conhece (nem teme) a Deus.
