Psalm 70 is a psalm of supplication, in which the psalmist cries to God for help and deliverance before his enemies. He begins by asking God to save him and help him quickly, and expresses his confidence that God is his help and liberator. Then he pray to God to embarrass and confuse those who seek to harm him. Psalm 35:4: "Those who seek to take my life be confused and humiliated; go back and confuse those who plot against me." Like the psalmist of Psalm 70, the psalmist of this verse asks God to confuse and humble those who seek to harm him.
Psalm 71:12: "O God, do not stretch you of me; my God, hurry to help me." This verse expresses the same urgency and supplication of the Psalm of Psalm 70, which asks God to help him quickly.
