1. For the leader. Do not destroy! A psalm of Asaph; a song.
2. Nous te louons, ô Dieu, nous te louons ; ton nom est proche : on raconte tes merveilles.
2. We thank you, God, we give thanks; we call upon your name, declare your wonderful deeds. You said:
3. " Quand le temps sera venu, je jugerai avec justice.
3. "I will choose the time; I will judge fairly.
4. La terre est ébranlée avec tous ceux qui l'habitent ; moi, j'affermis ses colonnes. " - Séla.
4. The earth and all its inhabitants will quake, but I have firmly set its pillars." Selah
5. Je dis aux orgueilleux : Ne vous enorgueillissez pas! et aux méchants : Ne levez pas la tête!
5. So I say to the boastful: "Do not boast!" to the wicked: "Do not raise your horns!
6. Ne levez pas si haut la tête, ne parlez pas avec tant d'arrogance!
6. Do not raise your horns against heaven! Do not speak arrogantly against the Rock!"
7. Car ce n'est ni de l'orient, ni de l'occident; ni du désert des montagnes!..
7. For judgment comes not from east or from west, not from the desert or from the mountains,
8. Non ; c'est Dieu qui exerce le jugement : il abaisse l'un et il élève l'autre.
8. But from God who decides, who brings some low and raises others high.
9. Car il y a dans la main de Yahweh une coupe ; où bouilionne un vin plein d'aromates. Et il en verse : oui, ils en suceront la lie, ils boiront, tous les méchants de la terre.
9. Yes, a cup is in the LORD'S hand, foaming wine, fully spiced. When God pours it out, they will drain it even to the dregs; all the wicked of the earth must drink.
10. Et moi, je publierai à jamais, je chanterai les louanges du Dieu de Jacob.
10. But I will rejoice forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob,
11. Et j'abattrai toutes les cornes des méchants ; et les cornes du juste seront élevées.$
