0. A Psalm of David.

1. Salmo. Di Davide. Il Signore è il mio pastore: nulla mi mancherà.

1. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want;

2. In pascoli verdeggianti mi fa riposare, ad acque di ristoro egli mi conduce.

2. he makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters;

3. Egli rinfranca l'anima mia, in sentieri di giustizia egli mi guida in grazia del suo nome.

3. he restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4. Anche se camminassi in una valle oscura, non temerei alcun male, poiché tu sei con me; il tuo bastone e il tuo vincastro sono essi la mia difesa.

4. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

5. Una mensa tu prepari davanti a me di fronte ai miei avversari, hai unto con olio il mio capo e la mia coppa è traboccante.

5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows.

6. Certo, bontà e misericordia mi accompagneranno per tutti i giorni della mia vita, e rimarrò nella casa del Signore per lunghi anni.

6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
