Psalms, 45

1. Unto the end, for the sons of Core, for the hidden.

2. Our God is our refuge and strength: a helper in troubles, which have found us exceedingly.

2. Modula il mio cuore un piacevole motivo, al re declamo il mio poema. Stilo d'abile scriba sia la mia lingua.

3. Therefore we will not fear, when the earth shall be troubled; and the mountains shall be removed into the heart of the sea.

3. Il più bello sei tu fra i figli dell'uomo, sparsa è la grazia sulle tue labbra. Per questo Dio t'ha benedetto in eterno.

4. Their waters roared and were troubled: the mountains were troubled with his strength.

4. Cingi ai fianchi la tua spada, o eroe; rivèstiti di maestà e di decoro

5. The stream of the river maketh the city of God joyful: the most High hath sanctified his own tabernacle.

5. e avanza con successo. Sali sul carro per la causa della verità, della mansuetudine, della giustizia. Cose stupende t'insegni la tua destra.

6. God is in the midst thereof, it shall not be moved: God will help it in the morning early.

6. Ben appuntite sono le tue frecce, cadono i popoli sotto di te, esse penetrano nel cuore dei nemici del re.

7. Nations were troubled, and kingdoms were bowed down: he uttered his voice, the earth trembled.

7. In eterno e per sempre sta il tuo trono, o Dio. Scettro d'equità è lo scettro del tuo regno.

8. The Lord of armies is with us: the God of Jacob is our protector.

8. Hai amato la giustizia, hai odiato l'iniquità, per questo ti ha unto Dio, il tuo Dio, con olio di letizia a preferenza dei tuoi pari.

9. Come and behold ye the works of the Lord: what wonders he hath done upon earth,

9. Mirra, aloè e cassia profumano tutti i tuoi vestiti. Dai palazzi d'avorio corde d'arpa t'allietano.

10. making wars to cease even to the end of the earth. He shall destroy the bow, and break the weapons: and the shield he shall burn in the fire.

10. Una figlia di re a te viene incontro qual regina alla tua destra, in oro di Ofir.

11. Be still and see that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, and I will be exalted in the earth.

11. Ascolta, o figlia, e vedi; protendi il tuo orecchio e dimentica il tuo popolo e la casa di tuo padre.

12. The Lord of armies is with us: the God of Jacob is our protector.

12. Piaccia al re la tua bellezza; poiché egli è il tuo signore: rendigli omaggio.

13. La figlia di Tiro viene con doni; il tuo volto ricercano i più ricchi del popolo.

14. Tutta splendore è nell'interno la figlia regale: tessuto in oro è il suo vestito,

15. in vesti variopinte è condotta al re. Le vergini sue compagne son fatte venire al suo seguito.

16. Sono introdotte con gioia e letizia, esse entrano nel palazzo regale.

17. In luogo dei tuoi padri ci saranno i tuoi figli che porrai quali prìncipi su tutta la terra.

18.

18. Il tuo nome vorrei far ricordare di generazione in generazione. Per questo ti loderanno i popoli in eterno e per sempre.
