Ezekiel, 21

26. The king of Babylon, in fact, is now standing at the parting of the ways, at the head of both roads looking for an omen. He is shaking arrows, questioning the idols, looking at the liver of the victims.

Isaiah 34:5: "For my sword has been drunk in heaven; behold, she will come down over Edom, and the people of my anathema to perform judgment." Psalm 75:7: "But God is the judge; he lowers one, and exalts another." This verse talks about God as the sovereign judge, who has the power to exalt and lower. In Chapter 21 of Ezekiel, God is acting as the sovereign judge of Jerusalem, performing his judgment with the sword of God.

Jeremiah 23:24: "Will anyone hide in hiding places, so that I do not see him? In this verse, God talks about His omnipresence and how He sees everything. In Ezekiel chapter 21, God is observing the situation in Jerusalem and planning his action as the omnipresent and omniscient god.
