Daniel, 12

1. En aquel tiempo se levantará Miguel, el gran jefe que defiende a los hijos de tu pueblo. Será un tiempo de angustia, como nunca lo hubo desde que existieron las naciones hasta el día de hoy. Entonces serán salvados todos aquellos que estén inscritos en el libro.

1. At that time, Michael will rise, the Great Commander who defends the sons of your people. It shall be a time of anguish as never before since the nations first existed until this very day. Then all those whose names are written in the Book will be saved.

2. Muchos de los que duermen en la región del polvo se despertarán, unos para la vida eterna, otros para el horror y la vergüenza eterna.

2. Many of those who sleep in the Region of the Dust will awake, some to everlasting life but others to eternal horror and shame.

3. Los guías espirituales brillarán como el resplandor del firmamento; los que educaron al pueblo para que fuera justo brillarán como las estrellas por toda la eternidad.

3. Those who acquired knowledge will shine like the brilliance of the firmament; those who taught people to be just will shine like the stars for all eternity.

4. Y tú, Daniel, guarda en secreto estas palabras y ten cerrado el libro hasta el tiempo fijado para el fin. Muchos andarán buscando acá y allá. La maldad irá aumentando

4. And you, Daniel, keep these words secret and have the Book sealed until the appointed time of the end. Many will wander looking here and there. Wickedness will go on increasing."

5. Yo, Daniel, miré y vi a otros dos que estaban de pie a una y otra parte del río.

5. I, Daniel, looked and saw two others standing, one on either side of the river.

6. Uno de ellos dijo al hombre vestido de tela de hilo que estaba sobre las aguas del río: «¿Cuándo se cumplirán estas cosas asombrosas?

6. One said to the man clothed in linen who was upstream, "When will these wonderful things take place?"

7. Y oí la respuesta del hombre vestido de lino que estaba río arriba. Levantó las manos al cielo y juró por aquel que vive eternamente: «Todo se cumplirá dentro de un tiempo, dos tiempos y medio tiempo. Cuando el pueblo santo sea totalmente aplastado y sin fuerza, entonces se cumplirán estas cosas.

7. And I heard the answer of the man in linen who was upstream. He raised his hands to heaven and swore by the One who lives eternally: "Everything will be fulfilled within a time, two times and a half a time. When the holy people is completely crushed and without any strength, then these things will be fulfilled."

8. Yo oí, pero no comprendí. Luego dije: «Señor mío, ¿cuál será el final de estas cosas?»

8. I heard but did not understand. Then I said, "My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?"

9. Dijo: «Anda, Daniel, porque estas palabras están cerradas y selladas hasta el fin del tiempo fijado.

9. He said, "Go, Daniel, for these words are secret and sealed until the appointed time of the end.

10. Muchos serán purificados, blanqueados y probados; los impíos seguirán haciendo el mal; ninguno de ellos comprenderá nada; sólo los entendidos comprenderán

10. Many will be purified, cleansed and proved. The impious will go on doing evil, none of them will understand anything, only the learned will understand.

11. Contando desde el momento en que sea suprimido el sacrificio perpetuo e instalado el abominable ídolo del devastador, serán mil doscientos noventa días.

11. From the time the perpetual sacrifice is suppressed and the Abominable Idol of the devastator is installed, there shall be a thousand two hundred ninety days.

12. Dichoso el que sepa esperar y alcance mil treinta y cinco días.

12. Fortunate is the one who waits and reaches a thousand three hundred thirty-five days.

13. Y tú, ve hasta tu fin. Descansarás y después te levantarás para recibir tu premio al final de los tiempos.»

13. And you, go your way until your end. You shall rest and then rise to receive your reward at the end of time."
