Psaumes, 115

1. Non pas à nous, Yahweh, non pas à nous, mais à ton nom donne la gloire, à cause de ta bonté, à cause de ta fidélité!

1. Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, [and] for thy truth's sake.

2. Pourquoi les nations diraient-elles: « Où donc est leur Dieu? »

2. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where [is] now their God?

3. Notre Dieu est dans le ciel; tout ce qu'il veut, il le fait.

3. But our God [is] in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

4. Leurs idoles sont de l'argent et de l'or, ouvrage de la main des hommes.

4. Their idols [are] silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

5. Elles ont une bouche, et ne parlent point; elles ont des yeux, et ne voient point.

5. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

6. Elles ont des oreilles, et n'entendent point; elles ont des narines, et ne sentent point.

6. They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:

7. Elles ont des mains, et ne touchent point; elles ont des pieds, et ne marchent point; de leur gosier elles ne font entendre aucun son.

7. They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.

8. Qu'ils leur ressemblent ceux qui les font, et quiconque se confie à elles!

8. They that make them are like unto them; [so is] every one that trusteth in them.

9. Israël, mets ta confiance en Yahweh! Il est leur secours et leur bouclier.

9. O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he [is] their help and their shield.

10. Maison d'Aaron, mets ta confiance en Yahweh! Il est leur secours et leur bouclier.

10. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he [is] their help and their shield.

11. Vous qui craignez Yahweh, mettez votre confiance en Yahweh! Il est leur secours et leur bouclier.

11. Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he [is] their help and their shield.

12. Yahweh s'est souvenu de nous: il bénira! Il bénira la maison d'Israël; il bénira la maison d'Aaron;

12. The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless [us]; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

13. il bénira ceux qui craignent Yahweh, les petits avec les grands.

13. He will bless them that fear the LORD, [both] small and great.

14. Que Yahweh multiplie sur vous ses faveurs, sur vous et sur vos enfants!

14. The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

15. Soyez bénis de Yahweh, qui a fait les cieux et la terre!

15. Ye [are] blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.

16. Les cieux sont les cieux de Yahweh, mais il a donné la terre aux fils de l'homme.

16. The heaven, [even] the heavens, [are] the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

17. Ce ne sont pas les morts qui louent Yahweh, ceux qui descendent dans le lieu du silence;

17. The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

18. mais nous, nous bénirons Yahweh, dès maintenant et à jamais. Allelluia!$

18. But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.
