Psalms, 123

1. To you I lift up my eyes, to you whose throne is in heaven.

2. As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of maids look to the hand of their mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he shows us his mercy.

3. Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us, for we have our fill of contempt.

4. Too long have our souls been filled with the scorn of the arrogant, with the ridicule of the insolent.

" This verse speaks of the importance of prayer and trust in God to experience inner peace and tranquility even in the midst of adversity.
