Salmos, 84

1. Ao mestre de canto. Salmo dos filhos de Coré.*

1. Unto the end, for the sons of Core, a psalm.

2. Fostes propício, Senhor, à vossa terra; restabelecestes a sorte de Jacó.

2. Lord, thou hast blessed thy land: thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob.

3. A iniquidade de vosso povo perdoastes, foram por vós cobertos seus pecados.

3. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered all their sins.

4. Aplacastes toda a vossa cólera, refreastes o furor de vossa ira.

4. Thou hast mitigated all thy anger: thou best turned away from the wrath of thy indignation.

5. Restaurai-nos, ó Deus, nosso salvador, ponde termo à indignação que tínheis contra nós.

5. Convert us, O God our saviour: and turn off thy anger from us.

6. Acaso será eterna contra nós a vossa cólera? Estendereis vossa ira sobre todas as gerações?

6. Wilt thou be angry with us for ever: or wilt thou extend thy wrath from generation to generation?

7. Não nos restituireis a vida, para que vosso povo se rejubile em vós?

7. Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.

8. Mostrai-nos, Senhor, a vossa misericórdia, e dai-nos a vossa salvação.

8. Shew us, O Lord, thy mercy; and grant us thy salvation.

9. Escutarei o que diz o Senhor Deus, porque ele diz palavras de paz ao seu povo, para seus fiéis, e àqueles cujos corações se voltam para ele.

9. I will hear what the Lord God will speak in me: for he will speak peace unto his people: And unto his saints: and unto them that are converted to the heart.

10. Sim, sua salvação está bem perto dos que o temem, de sorte que sua glória retornará à nossa terra.*

10. Surely his salvation is near to them that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.

11. A bondade e a fidelidade outra vez se irão unir, a justiça e a paz de novo se darão as mãos.

11. Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed.

12. A verdade brotará da terra, e a justiça olhará do alto do céu.

12. Truth is sprung out of the earth: and justice hath looked down from heaven.

13. Enfim, o Senhor nos dará seus benefícios, e nossa terra produzirá seu fruto.

13. For the Lord will give goodness: and our earth shall yield her fruit.

14. A justiça caminhará diante dele, e a felicidade lhe seguirá os passos.

14. Justice shall walk before him: and shall set his steps in the way.
