1. Al Señor, en medio de mi angustia, yo clamé y él me respondió.

1. A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.

2. Salva mi alma, Señor, de labios mentirosos, de la lengua calumniadora.

2. Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, [and] from a deceitful tongue.

3. ¿Qué se te dará o que se te agregará, oh lengua calumniadora?

3. What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?

4. Flechas muy puntiagudas de guerrero, endurecidas en brasas de retama.

4. Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

5. ¡Ay de mí que en Mesec debo vivir y habitar en las tiendas de Quedar!

5. Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, [that] I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

6. Mi alma halló muy larga su permanencia entre aquellos que detestan la paz.

6. My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.

7. Estoy por la paz, pero apenas de eso hablo, ellos no piensan más que en guerra.

7. I [am for] peace: but when I speak, they [are] for war.
