Salmos, 19

1. Los cielos cuentan la gloria del Señor, proclama el firmamento la obra de sus manos.

1. <To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.> The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2. Un día al siguiente le pasa el mensaje y una noche a la otra se lo hace saber.

2. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3. No hay discursos ni palabras ni voces que se escuchen,

3. [There is] no speech nor language, [where] their voice is not heard.

4. mas por todo el orbe se capta su ritmo, y el mensaje llega hasta el fin del mundo.

4. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5. Al sol le fijó una tienda en lontananza, de allí sale muy alegre, como un esposo que deja su alcoba, como atleta, a correr su carrera.

5. Which [is] as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, [and] rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

6. Sale de un extremo de los cielos y en su vuelta, que alcanza al otro extremo, no hay nada que se escape a su calor.

6. His going forth [is] from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7. La ley del Señor es perfecta, es remedio para el alma, toda declaración del Señor es cierta y da al sencillo la sabiduría.

7. The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple.

8. Las ordenanzas del Señor son rectas y para el corazón son alegría. Los mandamientos del Señor son claros y son luz para los ojos.

8. The statutes of the LORD [are] right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD [is] pure, enlightening the eyes.

9. El temor del Señor es un diamante, que dura para siempre; los juicios del Señor son verdad, y todos por igual se verifican.

9. The fear of the LORD [is] clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD [are] true [and] righteous altogether.

10. Son más preciosos que el oro, valen más que montones de oro fino; más que la miel es su dulzura, más que las gotas del panal.

10. More to be desired [are they] than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11. También son luz para tu siervo, guardarlos es para mí una riqueza.

11. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: [and] in keeping of them [there is] great reward.

12. Pero, ¿quién repara en sus deslices? Límpiame de los que se me escapan.

12. Who can understand [his] errors? cleanse thou me from secret [faults].

13. Guarda a tu siervo también de la soberbia, que nunca me domine. Así seré perfecto y limpio de pecados graves.

13. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

14. ¡Ojalá te gusten las palabras de mi boca, esta meditación a solas ante ti, oh Señor, mi Roca y Redentor!

14. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
