Salmos, 105

1. ¡Den gracias al Señor, su nombre invoquen, entre los pueblos anuncien sus hazañas!

1. O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

2. Cántenle y toquen para él, y mediten todos sus prodigios.

2. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

3. Siéntanse orgullosos de su santo nombre, y alégrense los que buscan al Señor.

3. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

4. ¡Busquen al Señor, esto será su fuerza, busquen su cara sin cesar!

4. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

5. ¡Recuerden las maravillas que realizó, sus prodigios, las sentencias que pronunció,

5. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

6. raza de Abrahán, su servidor, hijos de Jacob, su elegido!

6. O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

7. El es el Señor, es nuestro Dios, sus decisiones tocan a toda la tierra.

7. He [is] the LORD our God: his judgments [are] in all the earth.

8. Se acuerda para siempre de su alianza, de la palabra impuesta a mil generaciones,

8. He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word [which] he commanded to a thousand generations.

9. del pacto que con Abrahán concluyó, y de su juramento a Isaac.

9. Which [covenant] he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

10. Lo erigió como ley para Jacob, como alianza eterna para Israel.

10. And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, [and] to Israel [for] an everlasting covenant:

11. Dijo: "Te daré la tierra de Canaán, esa será tu parte de la herencia".

11. Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

12. Aunque eran gente fácil de numerar, bien poca cosa y extraños en ese país,

12. When they were [but] a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

13. e iban errantes de una nación a otra, de un reino a otro pueblo,

13. When they went from one nation to another, from [one] kingdom to another people;

14. a nadie permitió que los oprimiera, y a reyes, por su causa, reprendió:

14. He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

15. "No toquen a los que me he consagrado, a mis profetas no les hagan daño."

15. [Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

16. Dejó caer la hambruna en el país, les cortó el alimento;

16. Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

17. pero delante de ellos envió a un hombre, a José, vendido como esclavo.

17. He sent a man before them, [even] Joseph, [who] was sold for a servant:

18. Fue humillado con grillos en sus pies, y su cuello pusieron entre fierros;

18. Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

19. hasta el día en que se cumplió su predicción: la palabra del Señor le dio la razón.

19. Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

20. El rey ordenó que lo soltaran, el amo de los pueblos lo dejó libre;

20. The king sent and loosed him; [even] the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

21. lo estableció como señor de su casa, gobernador de todos sus dominios,

21. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

22. para instruir a los príncipes en su nombre y enseñar sabiduría a sus ancianos.

22. To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

23. Entonces Israel entró en Egipto, Jacob se instaló en tierra de Cam.

23. Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

24. Dios quiso que su pueblo creciera mucho, lo hizo más fuerte que sus adversarios,

24. And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

25. les cambió el corazón y odiaron a su pueblo, y trataron de dañar a sus servidores.

25. He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

26. Envió, entonces, a Moisés, su servidor, a Aarón, al que había elegido;

26. He sent Moses his servant; [and] Aaron whom he had chosen.

27. por su medio realizó las señales predichas y sus prodigios en la tierra de Cam.

27. They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

28. Les envió tinieblas y todo se oscureció, pero no tomaron en cuenta su palabra.

28. He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

29. Cambió sus aguas en sangre e hizo que sus peces perecieran.

29. He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

30. Pululó de ranas su país hasta en las habitaciones de los reyes.

30. Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

31. Habló y llegaron los mosquitos, plaga de insectos en todo su territorio.

31. He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, [and] lice in all their coasts.

32. En vez de lluvia les envió el granizo y rayos en todo su país.

32. He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land.

33. Azotó sus viñas y sus higueras, rompió los árboles de su territorio.

33. He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

34. Habló y llegaron las langostas y saltamontes, que eran incontables,

34. He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

35. se comieron toda la hierba en su país, devoraron el fruto de su suelo.

35. And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

36. Golpeó a todo primogénito, en su país, a todas las primicias de su virilidad.

36. He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

37. Hizo salir a los suyos con oro y plata, y en sus tribus ninguno iba cojeando.

37. He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and [there was] not one feeble [person] among their tribes.

38. Egipto se alegró de su salida, pues el terror lo había dominado;

38. Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

39. desplegó una nube como un velo, y un fuego para alumbrarlos de noche.

39. He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

40. A su pedido, les envió codornices, y con pan de los cielos los sació.

40. [The people] asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

41. Abrió la roca y las aguas brotaron, y por la tierra seca corrían como ríos.

41. He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.

42. Es que se acordó de su santa palabra que le dio a Abrahán, su servidor;

42. For he remembered his holy promise, [and] Abraham his servant.

43. hizo salir a su pueblo alegremente, a sus elegidos entre gritos de gozo.

43. And he brought forth his people with joy, [and] his chosen with gladness:

44. Les dio las tierras de otras naciones y heredaron el trabajo de otros pueblos,

44. And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

45. para que así guardaran sus preceptos y observaran sus leyes.

45. That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
