Psalms, 52

1. Unto the end, for Maeleth, understandings to David. The fool said in his hear t: There is no God.

2. They are corrupted, and become abominable in iniquities: there is none that doth good.

3. Perché ti vanti del male, o potente? Tutto il giorno contro il pio

4. All have gone aside, they are become unprofitable together, there is none that doth good, no not one.

4. tu escogiti rovina; la tua lingua è come lama affilata, o artefice d'inganni.

5. Shall not all the workers of iniquity know, who eat up my people as they eat bread?

5. Tu preferisci il male al bene, la menzogna invece della giustizia.

6. They have not called upon God: there have they trembled for fear, where there was no fear. For God hath scattered the bones of them that please men: they have been confounded, because God hath despised them.

6. Tu preferisci ogni parola di rovina, o lingua fraudolenta.

7. Who will give out of Sion the salvation of Israel? when God shall bring back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

7. Ma Dio ti abbatterà per sempre, ti annienterà, ti farà buttar via dalla tua tenda, ti sradicherà dalla terra dei viventi.

8. Vedranno i giusti e temeranno, si rideranno di lui dicendo:

9. Ecco l'uomo che non pose Dio qual suo rifugio, ma mise la sua fiducia nell'abbondanza delle sue ricchezze, cercando asilo nei suoi averi.

10. Io, invece, sono come un ulivo verdeggiante nella casa di Dio; mi sono rifugiato nella divina misericordia in eterno e per sempre.

11. Ti loderò in eterno per quello che hai fatto, la bontà del tuo nome proclamerò davanti ai tuoi devoti.
