1. The Praise of a Canticle, of David. Whoever dwells with the assistance of the Most High will abide in the protection of the God of heaven.

13. You will walk over the asp and the king serpent, and you will trample the lion and the dragon.

13. Vrati se k nama, Jahve! TÓa dokle æeš? Milostiv budi slugama svojim!

14. Because he has hoped in me, I will free him. I will protect him because he has known my name.

14. Jutrom nas nasiti smilovanjem svojim, da klièemo i da se veselimo u sve dane!

15. He will cry out to me, and I will heed him. I am with him in tribulation. I will rescue him, and I will glorify him.

15. Obraduj nas za dane kad si nas šibao, za ljeta kad smo stradali!

16. I will fill him with length of days. And I will reveal to him my salvation.

16. Neka se na slugama tvojim pokaže djelo tvoje i tvoja slava na djeci njihovoj!

90:1-2 - This psalm, attributed to Moses, begins by acknowledging God's eternity and immutability. He is the refuge of all generations, present since before the creation of the world (see also Deuteronomy 33:27 and Hebrews 13:8).

90:3-6 - The transience of human life is contrasted with the eternity of God. Man is like the dust of the earth, his life is brief, like grass that grows and then disappears (see also Genesis 3:19 and James 4:14).

90:7-12 - The psalmist reflects on God's wrath against sin and asks for wisdom to live each day with purpose and fear of God. Seeking divine wisdom is crucial to facing life's brevity (see also Proverbs 9:10 and Ephesians 5:15-16).
