Salmos, 132

1. Canción de las subidas. Acuérdate, Yahveh, en favor de David, de todos sus desvelos,

1. A Song of degrees. LORD, remember David, [and] all his afflictions:

2. del juramento que hizo a Yahveh, de su voto al Fuerte de Jacob:

2. How he sware unto the LORD, [and] vowed unto the mighty [God] of Jacob;

3. «No he de entrar bajo el techo de mi casa, no he de subir al lecho en que reposo,

3. Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

4. sueño a mis ojos no he de conceder ni quietud a mis párpados,

4. I will not give sleep to mine eyes, [or] slumber to mine eyelids,

5. mientras no encuentre un lugar para Yahveh, una Morada para el Fuerte de Jacob.»

5. Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty [God] of Jacob.

6. Mirad: hemos oído de Ella que está en Efratá, ¡la hemos encontrado en los Campos del Bosque!

6. Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

7. ¡Vayamos a la Morada de él, ante el estrado de sus pies postrémonos!

7. We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

8. ¡Levántate, Yahveh, hacia tu reposo, tú y el arca de tu fuerza!

8. Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

9. Tus sacerdotes se vistan de justicia, griten de alegría tus amigos.

9. Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

10. En gracia a David, tu servidor, no rechaces el rostro de tu ungido.

10. For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

11. Juró Yahveh a David, verdad que no retractará: «El fruto de tu seno asentaré en tu trono.

11. The LORD hath sworn [in] truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

12. «Si tus hijos guardan mi alianza, el dictamen que yo les enseño, también sus hijos para siempre se sentarán sobre tu trono.»

12. If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

13. Porque Yahveh ha escogido a Sión, la ha querido como sede para sí:

13. For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired [it] for his habitation.

14. «Aquí está mi reposo para siempre, en él me sentaré, pues lo he querido.

14. This [is] my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

15. «Sus provisiones bendeciré sin tasa, a sus pobres hartaré de pan,

15. I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16. de salvación vestiré a sus sacerdotes, y sus amigos gritarán de júbilo.

16. I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

17. «Allí suscitaré a David un fuerte vástago, aprestaré una lámpara a mi ungido;

17. There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

18. de vergüenza cubriré a sus enemigos, y sobre él brillará su diadema».

18. His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
