Joshua, 14

12. Give me then the highlands that Yahweh promised me. You know that there are a race of giants called the Anakim and their towns are great and strong. But if Yahweh is with me, I shall drive them out as Yahweh said."

Joshua chapter 14 describes how the land of Canaan was divided between the tribes of Israel, and as Caleb, one of the spies sent by Moses to the promised land, asked Joshua to give him a portion of land that had been promised to him for God. Caleb is an example of faith and perseverance, for despite his advanced age, he was still willing to fight for his inheritance on Earth. Deuteronomy 1:36: "save Caleb, the son of Jefoné; He will see it, and the land that stepped will give him and his sons, since he has persevered to follow the Lord." This verse relates to the promise God made Caleb, that He would receive a portion of earth in the promised land because of His faith and obedience.

Hebrews 3:14: "For we are made participants of Christ if we firmly withdraw the principle of our trust to the end." This verse relates to the idea of ​​perseverance and trust in God, which Caleb has shown throughout his life and is an example for all believers.
