Psalms, 84

1. Unto the end, for the sons of Core, a psalm.

1. Al maestro di coro. Sulla (melodia) ghittita. Dei figli di Core. Salmo.

2. Lord, thou hast blessed thy land: thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob.

2. Quanto amabili sono le tue tende, o Signore delle schiere!

3. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered all their sins.

3. L'anima mia languisce e si strugge per gli atri del Signore; il mio cuore e la mia carne esultano nel Dio vivente.

4. Thou hast mitigated all thy anger: thou best turned away from the wrath of thy indignation.

4. Anche il passero trova una casa e la rondine il suo nido dove porre i suoi piccoli, presso i tuoi altari, o Signore delle schiere, mio re e mio Dio!

5. Convert us, O God our saviour: and turn off thy anger from us.

5. Beati coloro che abitano nella tua casa: sempre possono cantare le tue lodi.

6. Wilt thou be angry with us for ever: or wilt thou extend thy wrath from generation to generation?

6. Beati coloro che in te trovano rifugio e le tue vie sono nel loro cuore.

7. Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.

7. Quelli che passano per la valle del pianto la trasformano in sorgente; anche la prima pioggia l'ammanta di benedizioni.

8. Shew us, O Lord, thy mercy; and grant us thy salvation.

8. Essi crescono di vigore in vigore, finché compariranno davanti a Dio in Sion.

9. I will hear what the Lord God will speak in me: for he will speak peace unto his people: And unto his saints: and unto them that are converted to the heart.

9. Signore, Dio delle schiere, ascolta la mia preghiera, porgi l'orecchio, Dio di Giacobbe.

10. Surely his salvation is near to them that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.

10. Il nostro scudo vedi, o Dio, guarda il volto del tuo consacrato.

11. Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed.

11. Sì, un giorno nei tuoi atri vale più che mille. Ho scelto di stare alla soglia del mio Dio, piuttosto che abitare nelle tende degli empi.

12. Truth is sprung out of the earth: and justice hath looked down from heaven.

12. Poiché sole e scudo è il Signore Dio, favore e gloria egli elargisce. Il Signore non rifiuta il bene a quelli che camminano nell'integrità.

13. For the Lord will give goodness: and our earth shall yield her fruit.

13. Signore delle schiere, beato l'uomo che confida in te!

14. Justice shall walk before him: and shall set his steps in the way.
