Psalms, 112

1. Praise the Lord, ye children: praise ye the name of the Lord.

1. Gr. Psalm 112 (Heb. 113) αλληλουια αἰνεῖτε παῖδες κύριον αἰνεῖτε τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου

2. Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.

2. εἴη τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου εὐλογημένον ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος

3. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.

3. ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου μέχρι δυσμῶν αἰνεῖτε τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου

4. The Lord is high above all nations; and his glory above the heavens.

4. ὑψηλὸς ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ὁ κύριος ἐπὶ τοὺς οὐρανοὺς ἡ δόξα αὐτοῦ

5. Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:

5. τίς ὡς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ὁ ἐν ὑψηλοῖς κατοικῶν

6. and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?

6. καὶ τὰ ταπεινὰ ἐφορῶν ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ καὶ ἐν τῇ γῇ

7. Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill::

7. ὁ ἐγείρων ἀπὸ γῆς πτωχὸν καὶ ἀπὸ κοπρίας ἀνυψῶν πένητα

8. That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.

8. τοῦ καθίσαι αὐτὸν μετὰ ἀρχόντων μετὰ ἀρχόντων λαοῦ αὐτοῦ

9. Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.

9. ὁ κατοικίζων στεῖραν ἐν οἴκῳ μητέρα τέκνων εὐφραινομένην
