Psalms, 129

1. Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord:

1. Gr. Psalm 129 (Heb. 130) ᾠδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν ἐκ βαθέων ἐκέκραξά σε κύριε

2. Lord, hear my voice. Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.

2. κύριε εἰσάκουσον τῆς φωνῆς μου γενηθήτω τὰ ὦτά σου προσέχοντα εἰς τὴν φωνὴν τῆς δεήσεώς μου

3. If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: Lord, who shall stand it.

3. ἐὰν ἀνομίας παρατηρήσῃ κύριε κύριε τίς ὑποστήσεται

4. For with thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of thy law, I have waited for thee, O Lord. My soul hath relied on his word:

4. ὅτι παρὰ σοὶ ὁ ἱλασμός ἐστιν

5. my soul hath hoped in the Lord.

5. ἕνεκεν τοῦ νόμου σου ὑπέμεινά σε κύριε ὑπέμεινεν ἡ ψυχή μου εἰς τὸν λόγον σου

6. From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.

6. ἤλπισεν ἡ ψυχή μου ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον ἀπὸ φυλακῆς πρωίας μέχρι νυκτός ἀπὸ φυλακῆς πρωίας ἐλπισάτω Ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον

7. Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption.

7. ὅτι παρὰ τῷ κυρίῳ τὸ ἔλεος καὶ πολλὴ παρ’ αὐτῷ λύτρωσις

8. And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

8. καὶ αὐτὸς λυτρώσεται τὸν Ισραηλ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν ἀνομιῶν αὐτοῦ
