In Joshua chapter 16, the borders and the division of the earth are described between the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh. The following verses are related to the topics addressed in this chapter:
Numbers 26:52-54: "Then the Lord said to Moses, 'The earth will be divided among them as an inheritance, according to the number of names. Joshua responds indicating that they have the ability to expand their territory, but must expel the Canaanites who are still in the region.
Psalm 78:67-69: "Then he rejected Joseph's tent; He did not choose the tribe of Ephraim, but chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loved. He built his sanctuary as the heights, as the earth That he set forever. He chose David, his servant, and took him out of the currals of sheep. " This verse mentions that the Ephraim tribe was rejected, but Judah's tribe was chosen as the main tribe to lead Israel. 1 Kings 7:23-26: This verse describes the bronze pillars that Solomon made to the temple in Jerusalem. The pillar called "Boaz" was built to represent the tribe of Ephraim, which, as mentioned above, received a larger portion of land in Joshua 16.
