Luke, 23

St. Luke 23 reports the judgment, condemnation and crucifixion of Jesus. In addition, the chapter also presents some people involved in the crucifixion, such as Pilate and the Crucified Criminals with Jesus. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in São Luke 23:

Isaiah 53:5: "But he was wounded by our transgressions and ground for our iniquities; the punishment that brings us peace was upon Him, and by his footsteps we were healed." This prophetic verse of Isaiah relates to the crucifixion of Jesus, in which He was wounded and killed by the sins of humanity.

Mark 15:46: "And having bought a linen cloth and taking him off the cross, he wrapped him in him and placed him in a sepulcher drawn into the rock; and revolved a stone to the door of the tomb." This verse narrates the burial of Jesus, which is a crucial moment in the history of salvation, as it marks the beginning of resurrection and victory over death.
