2 Chronicles, 12

5. Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and [to] the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.

Chapter 12 of 2 Chronicles reports the fall of the kingdom of Judah under the government of King Robuam. Isaiah 57:15 - "For thus says the high and the sublime, which dwells in eternity, and whose name is holy: in a tall and holy place habit; as with the contrite and slaughtered with spirit, to vivify the spirit of the slaughtered, and to vivify the heart of the contrite. " This verse highlights the importance of humility and repentance before God, and how he is always willing to hear and forgive those who seek his help.
