Salmos, 124

1. Canción de las subidas. De David. Si Yahveh no hubiera estado por nosotros, - que lo diga Israel -

1. A Song of degrees of David. If [it had not been] the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

2. si Yahveh no hubiera estado por nosotros, cuando contra nosotros se alzaron los hombres,

2. If [it had not been] the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

3. vivos entonces nos habrían tragado en el fuego de su cólera.

3. Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

4. Entonces las aguas nos habrían anegado, habría pasado sobre nosotros un torrente,

4. Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

5. habrían pasado entonces sobre nuestra alma aguas voraginosas.

5. Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

6. ¡Bendito sea Yahveh que no nos hizo presa de sus dientes!

6. Blessed [be] the LORD, who hath not given us [as] a prey to their teeth.

7. Nuestra alma como un pájaro escapó del lazo de los cazadores. El lazo se rompió y nosotros escapamos;

7. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8. nuestro socorro en el nombre de Yahveh, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.

8. Our help [is] in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
