Ezekiel, 14

8. And I will set my face against that man, and will make him an example, and a proverb, and will cut him off from the midst of my people: and you shall know that I am the Lord.

Jeremiah 7:9-10: "You make theft, homicides, adultery and false oaths, incense in incense to Baal, and walk after other gods you have never known. Psalm 66:18: "If I had contemplated vanity in the heart, the Lord would not have heard me." This verse points out that iniquity in one's heart can prevent God from hearing His prayers.

Proverbs 1:28-29: "Then they will call me, but I will not answer; they will seek me, but they will not find me. For they bored science and did not prefer the fear of the Lord." This verse shows that those who despise the wisdom and fear of the Lord will not have their prayers heard.
