9. But see to yourselves. For they will hand you over to councils, and in the synagogues you will be beaten, and you shall stand before governors and kings because of me, as a testimony for them.

Mark's chapter 13 is known as the "Mount of Olives Speech," in which Jesus talks about the destruction of the temple, the end of time and his second coming. The chosen verses are:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: "For the Lord will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with a voice of archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will raise first. Then we, those who are alive, will be taken together together with them in the clouds, to the encounter with the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. " This excerpt refers to the second coming of Christ, when the dead will be raised and believers who are alive will be taken up to find the Lord in the air.
