Genesis, 8

13. Therefore, in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the waters were diminished upon the earth. And Noah, opening the cover of the ark, gazed out and saw that the surface of the earth had become dry.

Chapter 8 of Genesis deals with the end of the flood and the departure of Noah and his family from the ark. It is described as the waters gradually lowered and finally the ark rested over Mount Ararate. Noah sent a crow and a dove to verify the existence of dry earth. When the dove returned with an olive sheet, Noah knew that the waters had dried. At the end of the chapter, Noah builds an altar and offers sacrifices to God.

Psalm 29:10 - "The Lord has settled sovereign over the flood; the Lord remains sovereign forever." This verse highlights God's sovereignty, showing that he is responsible for the flood and controls all creation.

Isaiah 54:9 - "To me this will be as in Noah's days: I swore that Noah waters would no longer cover the earth; so I swore that I will no longer go against you anymore, nor will I rebuke you." This verse refers to God's promise not to destroy the earth again with a flood, as He did in Noah's days.

Hebrews 11:7 - "By faith noah, when warned about things that were not yet seen, moved by holy fear, built an ark to save his family. Through faith he condemned the world and became heir to justice which is according to faith. " This verse highlights Noah's faith in God and his obedience to build the ark, which saved him and his family from the flood.

Matthew 24:37-39-"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of man. For in the days before the flood, the people lived eating and drinking, marrying and giving themselves to marriage, until the The day Noah entered the ark; and they realized nothing, until the flood came and took them to all. So it will be at the coming of the Son of man. " This verse makes a comparison between Noah's days and what will happen before the return of Jesus Christ, showing the importance of vigilance and spiritual preparation.

1 Peter 3:20-21 - "... that in another time they were rebellious, when God's patience expected in Noah's days, while preparing the ark; in which few, namely eight souls, were saved through the water that also now, by the corresponding figure, baptism saves you, not being the removal of the dirt from the body, but the answer of good conscience to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
