Psalms, 37

14. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, [and] to slay such as be of upright conversation.

Psalm 37 is a psalm of wisdom that deals with the question of divine justice in contrast to the prosperity of the wicked. The psalmist urges the faithful to trust God, not to worry about the prosperity of the wicked, and to practice justice and goodness. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in Psalm 37:

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust the Lord of all your heart, and do not stir in your own understanding. Recognizes him in all your ways, and he will straighten your paths." This verse is an example of trust in God and recognition of his wisdom.

Jeremiah 17:7-8: "Blessed is the man who trusts the Lord, and whose confidence is the Lord. For he will be like the tree planted by the waters, who extends his roots to the Ribeiro, and does not fear when the heat comes when the heat comes , but its leaf turns green; and in the year of sequidência does not stupid, nor fails to bear fruit. " This verse also deals with the trust in God and the blessing it brings.

Proverbs 16:3: "Trust the Lord your works, and your projects will be established." This verse urges the faithful to trust God in all their activities and believe that He will lead them to success.

Psalm 34:19: "There are many afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him from all." This verse is an example of how divine justice works. Even if the righteous face difficulties, God will always protect them.

1 Peter 3:12: "For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears, attentive to his prayers, but the Lord's face is against those who do evil." This verse reinforces the idea that God is always vigilant about the righteous and that he does not allow injustice to prevail.
