Micah, 6

16. For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.

Micah 6 deals with God's judgment on the nation of Israel for its infidelity and injustice. God calls Israel to account for his disobedience and offers a way to reconciliation through repentance and return to obedience. Here are five verses related to the topics covered in Micah 6:

Psalm 50:6 - "The heavens proclaim their righteousness, for God is the judge." This verse talks about God as the righteous judge, who will bring justice and judgment on the earth, including Israel.

Isaiah 1:18 - "Come, let's reflect together, says the Lord, Though your sins are red as scarlet, they will become white like snow." This verse highlights God's offering of forgiveness and reconciliation to those who repent of their sins and return to Him.

Jeremiah 22:3 - "Thus says the Lord, Practice the right and justice, and free the oppressed from the oppressor's hand." This verse reinforces God's emphasis on righteousness and care for the less favored, something Israel failed to fulfill.

Hosea 6:6 - "For I want loyal love, not sacrifices; knowledge of God instead of burnt offering." This verse highlights the importance of the heart and motivation behind actions rather than just following empty rituals and traditions.

Amos 5:24 - "Run justice like a river, righteousness like a perennial riberate!" This verse portrays justice and righteousness as continuous and flowing, something God expects from His people.
