2 Thessalonians, 1

11. To this end, we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and powerfully bring to fulfillment every good purpose and every effort of faith,

2 Thessalonians 1 talks about God's righteousness and his retribution to those who persecute Christians. Psalm 94:23 - "He shall make his own evil fall upon them and destroy them in his own malice; yes, the Lord our God will destroy them."
