Amos, 9

1. I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said: Strike the bases, so that the doorjambs totter till you break them off on the heads of them all! Those who are left I will slay with the sword; not one shall flee, no survivor shall escape.

Amos 9 is the final chapter of the book of Amos, and in him the prophet presents God's vision about the future of Israel and his promise of restoration and blessings. Some of the topics addressed in this chapter include God's judgment on Israel, the future restoration of the kingdom of David, and the abundance of blessings promised to Israel. " This verse talks about the abundance that God promised Israel after its restoration, which relates to the promise of Amos 9:13-14.
