Amos, 9

1. I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said: Strike the bases, so that the doorjambs totter till you break them off on the heads of them all! Those who are left I will slay with the sword; not one shall flee, no survivor shall escape.

Amos 9 is the final chapter of the book of Amos, and in him the prophet presents God's vision about the future of Israel and his promise of restoration and blessings. Some of the topics addressed in this chapter include God's judgment on Israel, the future restoration of the kingdom of David, and the abundance of blessings promised to Israel. Psalm 85:8 - "Certainly your salvation is close to those who fear it, that glory may dwell in our earth." This verse talks about God's salvation, which is one of the promises of Amos 9:11-12 for the people of Israel.

Jeremiah 30:3 - "For, behold, the Lord, says, that I will make my people Israel and Judah return from captivity; This verse relates to the promise of restoration of Amos 9:14-15.
