2 Chronicles 8 reports how Solomon built several cities and fortresses, as well as establishing commercial routes and taxes for the Kingdom of Israel. He also built a palace for himself and one for Pharaoh's daughter, who became his wife. Here are five verses related to the topics covered in 2 Chronicles 8:
1 Kings 9:10-11: "After twenty years, in which Solomon built the two houses, namely the house of the Lord and the house of the king, Hiram, king of Tire, provided the Solomon Madeira de Cedro and of Pine and gold, according to all his desire, then, gave King Solomon to twenty cities in the land of Galilee. " This verse talks about the agreement between Solomon and King Hiram to provide wood and gold for the construction of the temple and the palace, as well as the donation of cities by Solomon to Hiram.
1 Kings 9:14: "And Hirão sent to the king one hundred and twenty gold talents." This verse describes King Hirão's contribution to the temple and palace construction.
2 Chronicles 9:23: "And all kings of the earth sought to see Solomon's face to hear the wisdom God had put him in his heart." This verse talks about Solomon's fame and reputation as a wise king who was respected by other rulers.
1 Kings 9:28: "And his servants came, those who knew how to navigate the sea, along with Solomon's servants, to the Ofir, and took four hundred and twenty talents of gold from there and brought them to King Solomon." This verse describes one of Solomon's commercial expeditions to obir, where he brought a large amount of gold.
1 Kings 10:26: "Solomon also gathered cars and knights; he had a thousand and four hundred cars and twelve thousand knights; and distributed them through the cities of the cars and with the king in Jerusalem." This verse talks about the military expansion of Solomon, which has accumulated a large amount of cars and knights to protect his kingdom.
