Chapter 2 of Philippians addresses Christ's humility as an example for Christians. Paul urges the Philippians to have the same attitude of Christ, who emptied himself from his divine glory to become a servant and die on the cross for the sins of humanity. He emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation among Christians, avoiding envy, selfishness and murmuring. John 13:14: "Now, if I, Lord and Master, wash my feet, you must also wash each other's feet." In this verse, Jesus teaches his disciples to serve each other, something Paul also emphasizes in Philippians 2:3-4.
