Chapter 2 of Philippians addresses Christ's humility as an example for Christians. Paul urges the Philippians to have the same attitude of Christ, who emptied himself from his divine glory to become a servant and die on the cross for the sins of humanity. He emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation among Christians, avoiding envy, selfishness and murmuring. John 13:14: "Now, if I, Lord and Master, wash my feet, you must also wash each other's feet." In this verse, Jesus teaches his disciples to serve each other, something Paul also emphasizes in Philippians 2:3-4. 1 Corinthians 10:24: "No one seeks their own advantage, rather each one of others." Paul emphasizes in Philippians 2:3-4 the importance of not seeking his own interest, but the interest of others. Colossians 3:12: "Coat, therefore, as elected from God, holy and beloved, of affection affections of mercy, goodness, humility, meekness, long-term." This verse highlights the Christian virtues that must be cultivated by believers, including humility.
