Ezekiel, 11

1. The Spirit lifted me up, and brought me to the east gate of the house of the LORD, which faces east. And behold, at the door of the gateway there were twenty-five men; and I saw among them Ja-azani'ah the son of Azzur, and Pelati'ah the son of Benai'ah, princes of the people.

Ezekiel 11 is a chapter that deals with the divine punishment that would come about the leaders of Israel because of their corruption and infidelity. The prophet receives a vision where he is taken to the entrance of the temple in Jerusalem and sees the leaders by conspiring against the people. God then announces that he will punish them with the destruction of the city and exile of the people. Following are five verses related to the topics covered in Ezekiel 11:

Isaiah 1:23: "Your princes are rebellious and companions of thieves; each one of them loves the bribe and runs after the rewards.
