2 Samuel, 19

7. Now therefore arise, go out and speak kindly to your servants; for I swear by the LORD, if you do not go, not a man will stay with you this night; and this will be worse for you than all the evil that has come upon you from your youth until now."

2 Samuel 19 describes David's restoration as king of Israel after Absalom's death. Psalm 30:5: "For your wrath lasts only a moment; in your favor is life. Crying can last a night, but joy comes in the morning." This psalm expresses David's confidence in the restoration of joy and the renewal of life after a period of sadness and pain.

Psalm 51:12: "Return the joy of your salvation, and sustain me with a voluntary spirit." David asks God to restore him and renew him in his spirit after his sin with Bathsheba and the death of Uriah.
