Jeremiah 46 describes the fall of the Egyptian nation in the hands of the Babylonian Empire from the perspective of the prophet Jeremiah. This verse emphasizes that while nations can prepare their military forces for battle, it is God who gives victory. Isaiah 30:7: "For Egypt will help in vain and without profit; so I call it insolent pride." This verse speaks of the uselessness of trusting Egypt to help or protection.
