Revelation, 6

11. Each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to be patient a little while longer until the number was filled of their fellow servants and brothers who were going to be killed as they had been.

Revelation 6 deals with the opening of the first six seals of the book in the hands of the Lamb. Each seal represents a series of judgments and events that occur on Earth during the tribulation. The verses selected below were chosen for their relationship with the themes dealt with in the chapter.

Jeremiah 8:20: "The harvest has passed, the summer is over, and we are still lost!" This verse talks about the lack of hope that many will feel during the tribulation, when the harvest will pass and the time of grace will be over.

Matthew 24:21: "For there will then be great tribulation, as has never been from the beginning of the world so far, and there will never be." This verse talks about the great tribulation that will occur during the tribulation, which is a central theme in Revelation 6.
