20. Jesus answered him, "I have spoken publicly to the world. I have always taught in a synagogue or in the temple area where all the Jews gather, and in secret I have said nothing.

Luke 22:34 - "I tell you, Pedro, who will not sing the Rooster today before three times have you denied that you know me." This verse shows the sadness of Jesus in predicting that Peter would deny him three times, which happens later in chapter 18.
